Antique Longcase Clock, This wonderful 19th century longcase grandfather clock has a lovely mahogany case, The hood has a swan neck pediment with quality carved rosettes the door has a lining of satinwood with well turned and reeded columns either side, enclosed is a painted arch dial with date and seconds dial the eight day movement strikes the hour on a bell and has been serviced, Under you have the trunk door which is cross banded with mahogany with carved and reeded either side these match the hood ones, The base also has a cross banded edge with centre panel all supported by fretted carved feet, Circa Height " Width " Depth "

Woodwork is reclaimed from a redundant church pew purchased from our village church from which base and upright have so far been constructed as per photo. Top & door needs making from remaining timber and brass ware which will be supplied to the buyer. Note NO glass is included in this sale as this will need to be cut to fit the completed case once made. Here we have for sale a early 18th century thirty hour longcase clock made by Thomas beeching of Ashburnham the oak case stands at 84in high. It has a blind fret frieze above the glazed door. The thin wast door has a inlaid star motif. the movement is a excellent example of a birdcage movement of 30h duration and still retains it's rope drive it has a anchor escarpment and a count wheel strike.
