Spruce up your garden building with felt shingles, they are completely water proof and rot proof and look fantastic, especially the black one's which look like a slate roof from a distance as seen in picture. We use these on all the summerhouses and garden offices that we sell so we highly recommend them and due to our bulk buying we get great prices so we are able to share this bulk buying power with you. We highly recommend Black rectangular as they look like a slate roof from a distance and go with most paint colours so less likely to clash. Rectangular Tile dimensions... Each tile is 1 metre long x 33.8cm deep. There are 4 tiles per strip. Each individual tile on the strip measures 24.2cm x 14.4cm. Each pack covers 2.32sqm always allow extra's for gulley's and to double up over the ridge of your building. Fitting Tips... Always use clout nails and Black Bitumen/silicone to seal bottom row/gulley strips & roof edges.When fitting it's normally best to start from the bottom Back of your roof and work your way up to the ridge and lap over the top then move on to the front roof bottom and lap over the ridge again then if needed cut strips of just the tile section and pin this on to the front facing ridge to achieve a prettier finish. (see advert pictures) For help working out how many packs please read this example... You need to measure each individual roof, (see diagram in this adverts pictures) which shows an apex building (meaning 2 sides to the roof) as shown you need to measure the vertical from the eaves (bottom of the roof) to the ridge (top of the roof) some roofs are not exactly equal on both side so it's best to measure both roof sections to be safe. Then measure the horizontal length of the roof (this runs from left to right) then times/multiply these measurements together. EXAMPLE: Eaves to ridge measures 1.5m x length of roof 2.4m = 3.6m then if you have 2 sides to roof x 3.6m x 2 = 7.2m This is the sqm of the roof, then divide by the pack size which is 2.3, SUM EXAMPLE: 7.2 divided by (so this would be 4 packs HOWEVER we would recommend ordering 5 packs as an extra pack is normally needed as you use extra tiles to do the ridge and lay the base layer at the eaves, also you loose some tiles as they have to be cut and staggered in a brick pattern it's also wise to keep a few spare in case of any future loss or damage. (If you have a 4 sides roof use the same method as above but times by 4) We are also happy to give more fitting advice if needed. DELIVERY/COLLECTION..... The weight of each pack of Rectangular tiles is kg and the weight of the slightly smaller Hexagonal tiles is 19.5kg per pack. For orders of 12 packs or more we can get our supplier to deliver for approx. £2.50 per pack however for smaller orders less than 12 packs we use a Delivery Company who advertises on the internet who charge by weight and post code so delivery costs will need a post code to be worked out. Or you are welcome to arrange your own courier or you can collect from our workshop, our post code is SS5- 4SR, if you are really local we maybe able to deliver them to you for fuel cost only.
