Reluctant sale of our very much original and reliable orange and white, RHD ’73 ‘westy’. We’re only the 2nd owners since new and have 4 folders full of history. We purchased it in November and since then we have covered England, Wales, Ireland and western Europe with no hiccups. It is on its 2nd cc engine, which was fitted in Germany in August 91. In June we fitted a weber single carb conversion kit. MOT expires in August . The living area is all original Westfalia, which comprises of full width rock n roll bed, fold away 2 ring gas hob, sink, cooler box fridge, wardrobe, swivel/removable table, buddy seat/stool and 2 berth pop top. VW LTD RHD CAMPER VAN MOTORHOME

This is Betty which our much loved VW LT35 Right Hand Drive campervan with a 2.4 Ltr straight 6 cyclinder non-turbo engine. It's not fast but but has a great engine and gearbox. It's very similar in shape to the VW type 25 but BIGGER. We've had the van for approx. 4 years and it is only this year that its needed anything noteworthy doing for the MOT and this was the exhaust pipe which has been replaced by a stainless steel one which will last for many years to come. The underneath of the van is in really good condition as has been sealed, bodywork is great but has some rust patches etc as to be expected of VW vans of this era. The engine is in great condition as it has only really just run in at miles and will do 3 or 4 times this distance without a problem. There is a large storage space above the cab. Points of interest: Bathroom with shower and Thetford cassette toilet Rinnai instant hot water boiler, replaced but not currently plumbed in Sink with hot and cold running water when boiler plumebd in Oven 4 ring gas hob Grill Plenty of cupboard space Plenty of seating space in rear of van which can be converted to a two person bed. I think the water tank can hold 60 Litres of water. There is the facility to connect a hose pipe out the back of the van to a water supply and have continuous water flowing. Selling my camper unfortunaley, due to change of jobs. She's a T2 bay camper, road tax exempt, 8 months MOT. She.s a great runner always starts on the button, lovely smooth engine' Had a new gearbox 2 years ago, with new clutch and cable, fuel lines. Carburettor has been refurbished, not just rebuilt, fairly new dizzy, Front brakes (calipers, discs, pads ect) all new about miles ago, Front arches done 5 years ago, new seal on sliding door and engine hatch, and some more. Bad sides as you can see in the pics are the drivers side sill is corroded, sliding door has been patched up just to keep rot at bay, driver door corroded at the bottom and few spot of light rust here and there, yes your typical ol camper, hence the price. 3/4 Bluebird rock n rolla bed. Owned this classic VW for over 15 years. 12mths MOT last week without any advisories. Lovely cc recon engine (82bhp) that has done less than 6k miles, new twin weber ICT carbs, stainless steel exhaust, SVDA dizzy with elec ignition, new clutch, new starter. Recon gearbox at same time. Solid underneath, pop top and canvas also in good condition. 2-way fridge, sink and tap, 2 hobs, grill, 3/4 r&r bed, double bed up top, plenty of storage. Bodywork is pretty untidy, all doors need work/replacement, no major welding but a good tidy and respray would be nice at some point. A solid, reliable van though and ready for action and new adventures. Sale also includes Bluebird drive-away awning, 335 portapotty (fits under flip-down seat nicely), plus loads of useful T2 spares, manuals and bits I've accumulated over the years. Read More
