If you like extreme ghost hunts then look no further and join the Dusk Till Dawn Events Team for a night inside the formidable walls of Revesby Abbey - but one warning this place is certainly not recommended for the faint hearted! Revesby Abbey in Lincolnshire was once the home of Lady Beryl Groves - the property lies in 10 acres of land hidden away from view and is accessed via a wooded entrance lane - sitting adjacent to a medieval deer park. This is a Grade I listed building - which was built in in the "Jacobethan" style, by architect William Burn, for James Banks Stanhope. Left desolate and abandoned and in a state of disrepair for many years the Abbey has been unoccupied since at least . Inside this very intense and scary location - the dark, chilling lower level basement situated beneath the Abbey itself and the ominous brewhouse and cellars - found under the stables, all await you for a night of ghostly investigation. A maze of many rooms and recesses can be found in this area which was once the living quarters of the head Butler and Servants. Reports that a male spirit child and that of a ghostly male figure dressed in a typical butler's style uniform have been seen in different areas of the basement. People have also reportedly said that they have been pushed by an unseen presence. These are just a few of the many encounters said to have been witnessed by visitors at this haunted venue. During our site visit very recently which was during daylight hours - we found this place to be unnerving to say the very least - by night fall (from Dusk Till Dawn) this building we believe will take you to a whole new level of fear! Revesby Abbey is place that not many have discovered - left untouched and weathered by time we invite you to spend the night in the darkness with us inside this very atmospheric and incredibly scary building. Strange things began to occur and on the day that they moved in a strange occurrence took place in the form of a dust floating around them that seemed odd to say the least. This dust settled and in their efforts to clear it up, Mrs Kelly, the children’s aunt, went into the kitchen to get some cleaning implements only to discover a mysterious pool of water that had appeared on the kitchen floor. The pools of water then appeared all over the kitchen whilst they looked on in shock. This was just the beginning and nobody could ever have predicted how much they would endure over the next several years. A foam which was green in colour would come out of taps and toilets even though the water had been turned off, lights going on and off repeatedly with no apparent fault. Cupboards shaking violently and objects being slashed. Pictures were shredded and plants mysteriously leapt out of their plant pot on many occasions. Furniture moved on its own even heavy sideboards. The family had become terrified yet refused to leave their wonderful home. They became so used to the activity that they named the activist as Fred the Poltergeist. Many attempts were made to help the family gain some peace. Exorcisms were rebuffed as Fred mocked at them and people were attacked physically when he became angry. The walls leaked fluid on many occasions when attempts at splashing holy water were used. Fred became violent at times and lifted up objects, moving them in mid-air.
