Bertie is a beautiful, gentle Irish draft x cob. He is 19 years old, and in desperate need for a retirement home after his companion sadly passed away last night. He is the most incredible horse, had given me 8 years of love and joy and looked after me in my darkest time. He is perfect to groom, absolutely fine with the dentist, farrier, vet and clipping. TEMPORARY home needed for beautiful, super friendly chickens

This is not to sell my chickens, I need some one to chicken sit!... Basically, I'm going away for a month to Italy, and originally my friends in Hereford were going to look after them, but now they can't, and I have 2 weeks to find temporary accomodation. I absolutely love them to bits, some of whom I have raised myself from an egg, others I have been given to me or I bought. They are all different sizes, colours and breeds and all love a cuddle. (And when they're paying attention they even come when called) At the moment I only have one mature lady who lays a big egg a day, but very soon (probably in the next month) 5 of the other ladies will be coming of age and will start to lay too. I will provide all their bedding and feed and in return you will get hours of entertainment and cuddles, and plenty of eggs! This is ideal for some one who used to have chickens are still does and has a spare house etc. There are 2 cockerels running with the 6 hens, both of which are crazy tame and you can pick them up and they chat to you and snuggle. But if you live somewhere where you can not have cockerels, I could try and find them other homes. One of the 6 hens has 3 very young little chicks, but I may try to find her a separate temporary home as she's not tame at all and needs to live away from the others. If you are interested, unfortunately I will need to ask you to sign something written as evidence for this agreement. They come from a family home (my wife and I and our three month old baby) and they are as affectionate towards the baby as they are to us. We are so so sad to be rehoming them but my wife has developed an allergy during pregnancy and now finds it very hard to give them the affection that they deserve. Some info about the cats: ⁃ Sisters from the same litter, 4 years old. ⁃ Very affectionate to people and to each other. Often found curled up sleeping together. ⁃ In good health - fully vaccinated and no health problems. ⁃ Both neutered and chipped. ⁃ Often outdoors - we have a cat flap and the come and go as they please. They 'do their business' outside although have been happy to use a litter tray when we have moved house etc. ⁃ Do not catch animals. ⁃ Do not scratch furniture. ⁃ We can also provide various equipment including a months supply of food, bed, electronic locking cat flap, scratcher, food bowls, electronic feeder, cat carriers.
