ANTIQUE FRENCH VERNI BRONZE MINIATURE CARRIAGE CLOCK WORKING

This is a wonderful working French miniature carriage clock with Verni Bronze inscribed to the base with the original movement present in the case. The case is in a lovely clean condition, as is the face of the clock. The clock winds up easily with the winder and the movement / time can be set using the centre turner but is a little fiddly, as you would expect with a miniature. There’s a tiny piece of glass missing from one corner but otherwise in great condition for the age of the clock. This is a regency dining table. The table size is: Length 160 cm (picture 2), it can be extended to 216cm (picture 5), width 100cm and the height is 75.5cm. For my best knowledge, the wood is mahogany. The table is in very good physical condition. The surface condition is also good. The only defect is the 'extension part' has a very small area wear (picture 4) and the edge has some wear (picture 2) but it complete doesn't affect any thing. I have already try my best to describe all small defects about this table. Except these small defects, the table is in very good condition. The table top can be separated with the leg for transport (see picture 9). Very easy to separated, just pull the 2 bolts out is OK. Another one advantage of this table is that the table is a Round End table, so it can be sit up to 10 people. The table is very luxury furniture, please bring some blankets to protect it when you come to collect. Ad ID:

Clock French Style Lyre clock. in Northampton

Most attractive fairly modern version about 15yrs old of a porcelain lyre clock. The clock is a reproduction of the clock that is said to have belonged to Queen Marie Antoinette the original clock being made in Severes porcelain during the late 18th century. The clock is 16inches in overall height and the oval base measures 4 inches at its widest point. The clock case is decorated in a rich deep blue colour with lovely areas of gilding all over the porcelain case which stands on 3 round and decorated gilded feet the case top is surmounted by a sunburst ornament which encompasses a ladies face' plus a large swag underneath the ornament The movement is mechanical (key supplied) and rings the time on 2 bells on the half hour and the hour as some of the older French clocks do. Would suit any home, antique of the future needs to be seen to be appreciated. I have picture of the original clock for comparison.

The slate in excellent condition with just a few nibbles hardly noticeable. Nice verdigree patina on the brass. Has a good French movement with the very desirable visible escapement. Strikes the hour and the half hour on a coil and keeps good time. Would enhance any good room and be a nice heirloom. I inherited this exquisite antique bronze and jewelled photo frame which probably originally contained a miniature likeness of a favoured lady; I have put a computer printed copy of an appropriate image in it just for illustration purposes. I’m not sure whether it is Regency in period or Arts and Crafts. All the “stones” are present and the glass is undamaged, I haven’t polished it because I thought it best to retain the patina.
