Broodmare/Project Horse 16hh ISH Bay Mare

Ballygarrett Bonnie Rose aka Double D. 8 years old, bay mare. 16hh but looks much bigger. Currently in work and hacking out. I'm advertising her as a broodmare or project as she is a big strong mare who has a few issues. I bought her 'off the field' and have had no problem reintroducing her back to ridden work after 2 years off. She can be spooky to handle especially with hind feet with a farrier. She is fully shod but you need a patient farrier. She's good to hack and is fantastic in all traffic. She just does not like other horses (that she doesn't know, I've ridden her out lots in company) coming up too close behind her. I rode her on a recent hunt ride and she was perfect until strange horses came up behind her and she shot off away from them. She will jump but there does appear to be some sort of issue as one day she'll jump then other days she takes off at a fence and runs out. She needs time and patience if she were to be fully ridden again. She would be an ideal riding horse / show horse / dressage for someone who is knowledgable - she is fine in a group lesson or indoor/outdoor ménage with other horses going round. *For sale on behalf of a client* *King of Diamonds lines* Scout is a stunning 8 year old, 16hh grey ISH mare. She is a forward going talented jumper, being especially brave and bold when it comes to cross country. She has a big scopey jump, currently clearing 1m+ at home and has been out competing locally at 90cm, always going clear and being placed. She is nicely schooled on the flat, will work in an outline with ease and has produced some very nice tests when out competing BE. Although she is forward going, she is snaffle mouthed in all phases and not silly or strong. Scout loads and travels brilliantly, stands on the box with her hay and is impeccable at farm rides, the beach etc. she goes first or last. She is great to clip, for the farrier, be bathed, mane/tail pulled and to catch, being turned out in a mixed herd with no issues. Scout had been starved and was in a poor state before coming into the care of my client 3 years ago. Due to this, she was diagnosed with ulcers. They have been treated by a vet and with maintenance they have not returned. Because of this, she needs all year round turn out. Scout is still girthed up slowly as she can be a little sensitive, especially when coming into season. For these reasons, Scout is not suitable for a novice and would be best in a 5* experienced competition home where she can truly fulfil her potential.
