The Yamaha SG-300 was introduced in as a follow up to the earlier Yamaha SG-500 and Yamaha SG-600 that were issued in as an addition to the initial Yamaha SG line up of Yamaha SG-500, -Yamaha SG-700, Yamaha SG-, Yamaha SG- and flagship Yamaha SG-SG- The SG-300 was produced in burgundy red and black.
