For sale are these beautifully restored quality yew wood chairs in Antique White. These very well-made chairs have been restored with an antique white finish to enhance a modern home and would be ideal for a bedroom or living room. The seats have been re-upholstered with cream / white fabric. Beautiful wheatsheaf detail on seat backs. I am looking for £70 for the 2 chairs. RARE Large Antique 19thC ALETOSCOPIO Slide Projector Viewer

It is going to be difficult to describe every part of this large, extremely rare, mid-19th century Altoscopio Slide Projector Viewer, but the easy part will be describing the condition. You will see in all out close-up photographs that this large, dovetailed, solid Walnut Projector is in amazing original condition and it has never been restored. This is a very large viewer and you will see rulers in several photographs so you can get an idea of the scale. The cowling around the lens measures 15” wide by 12 ¾” tall and the glass lens measures 4 ½” by 6”. Overall this large impressive Altoscopio measures 35” long by 22 ¾” tall by 16 ½” wide. The turned leg base measures 16” by 22 ½”. It has a faux grained paint over the walnut to make it look like rosewood. Every door, mirror, glass, knob and bass hardware is original and working. Toward the front you can see a large thin round section with an oval porcelain label that reads, “Aletoscopio di Venezia, C. Naya.” This large round section corresponds in size to a large round iron ring near the back. If you look closely at the flat iron ring you will see that it is made to look like a snake.

An Antique Sandstone Sundial & Pedestal as shown. Full provenance as it has been in same family for 60 years and some previous history. We inherited it with the house in and the previous owner said that apparently it originally came from the Chateau Thierry region of France from his brother who was there in 's. This is a genuine old sandstone garden ornament and not a modern composite reproduction. Original patina with age related marks (see photos) in overall excellent condition. Pedestal base had original dial (apparently pewter/lead) which was removed in the 's and donated to the war effort for metal. A concrete square was added on the top in the 50's and eventually a brass London Type Dial with fixed gnomon (then new) fitted in the late 70's. Sympathetically cleaned with just warm soapy water & soft brush approx. every 5-6 years. A nice unique piece of garden architectural furniture with documented written & photographic history. 25" tall pedestal & 10" x 13" at top whilst 10" x 12" at base. Dial is 5" across the flats.
