PRS Custom 24 Makena Blue built in Maryland, USA in

Built in Maryland, USA at the end of , my PRs Custom 24 was one of the last run to be finished in Makenna Blue. I bought the guitar new and took delivery at the beginning of . It has pickups, an overwound version of the vintage sounding s. The five way toggle switch offers a variety of humbucking and single coil tones suitable for both rhythm and lead guitar, whether played clean or with a bit of dirt. The figured maple top looks gorgeous, whilst the mahogany body and neck are finished in a deeper blue with a dark rosewood fingerboard featuring abalone bird inlays, topped by Phase 3 Locking Tuners. The guitar has a floating bridge with tremolo. When I play my PRS Custom 24 with friends they say it is a beautiful guitar and will be heartbroken when they learn I have sold it. The guitar is in excellent condition and comes in its original hard case with a PRS guitar strap, 4 sets of Dunlop nickel wound guitar strings and all the original documentation etc. The lucky buyer will need to collect the guitar from me. This lovely Paul Reed Smith Swamp Ash Special was made in the USA in and as far as I can see it's all original specifications. It has a beautifully carved swamp ash body which is very resonant with great sustain. The body has a turquoise finish and is in good overall condition for a 17 year old guitar. There are a few small chips on edges and one at the base of the back, just normal signs of wear. It has a 22 fret maple neck and board. There is a small rub on the first fret position, but all the frets are in good condition. It also has a PRS tremolo unit and PRS locking tuners. The neck and bridge pickups are genuine McCarty PAF style low output humbuckers, offering a nice clean silvery tone. The middle pickup is a Seymour Duncan vintage rails which gives all the quack you need for styles from country to classic rock. There is a coil tap via the tone control and a 3 way switch, giving you 6 initial tonal options. This is a superb quality high end guitar for a gigging musician or a fine piece in any collectors collection.
