a blue PH pendant light by Poul Henningsen () for Louis Poulsen, in good condition. One of the icons from the Danish lamp industry. In very good condition. Aluminium, blue. This is an early lamp, which is visible on the upper part, which has been manufactured up to from two parts, attached together with pop rivets, and the orange loose element through which the cord has been led on the top side of the lamp. In later types (after ), this has been replaced by a different (fixed) construction in the colour of the lamp. Measurements: Diameter 50 cm, height 29 cm. Aluminium, porcelain E27 lamp holder, approx. 60 cm cord, covered with fabric. The fitting is in the correct position for the supplied economy lamp with the adjustable brass screwed tube. White ceiling light in the style of Poul Henningsen's Artichoke Lamp - still in original packaging

Light is 56cm in diameter and adjustable in height. It is suitable for residential or commercial applications but would be particularly at home above a dining table as shown in the first photo, which was taken in the showroom where it was bought. This pendant light is formed from a number of metal leaves (shades) attached to a metal frame surrounding 3 central bulbs, positioned so that they are not directly visible from any angle. Light is instead directed and reflected onto the leaves, illuminating the entire lamp and creating a fantastic focal point. The light has been unpackaged and was briefly fitted, but regrettably turned out to be unsuited to the low ceiling heights of the flat, so was put back in the box.
