Selling my Nikon D500, which is in perfect condition, in the original box, with all the accessories - actuations. The specs on this camera are great, so why am I selling ? It actually gets pretty confusing to have a mix of FX and DX equipment when you need to swap gear in candid event photography. So I need to standardise my equipment, especially as I am doing more wedding stuff now. I went for the D500 in the first place for dog action photography. Its AF sensor fills almost the whole frame, and latches onto moving targets in continuous mode without fail. If you’re mostly a sports or wildlife photographer, this camera excels. Plus, if you own any FX telephotos, you’ve got 50% more focal length / zoom. Even though it’s DX, the camera feels really good and solid in the hand, especially with all the buttons - ISO, mode, WB - being in the “right” place. I should say, I bought this camera from DigitalRev out of Hong Kong. They have a solid reputation for price and reliable prompt delivery.. but the disclaimer is, you don’t get a UK warranty. I have bought other equipment from them including a Fuji X100t, a D750 and a Nikon 85mm f1.4 D lens, and all have worked perfectly. Been using Pentax cameras for decades going back to 35MM Film days. Particularly like the easy backwards compatibility. Usual amazing array of features on modern DSLRs, including built in WiFi. I noticed a tiny hair on the prism view screen (not the sensor) and stupidly tried to clean it off myself, got rid of the hair but introduced some dust specs visible in vewfinder. The wonderful A7R ii - Sony's breakthrough mirrorless full-frame camera. I've used this mainly as my street photography camera with the 35mm Zeiss lens - also for sale separately. Having started with Canon a few years ago I now find that it will be too expensive to replace all my lenses with the Sony equivalent - so it's back to Canon.
