Pattern Cutting Blocks

A unique set of size 12 basic pattern cutting blocks made from tough plastic. I made these blocks when I was a pattern cutting student. They were a great time saver as they enabled me to trace around them, get a standard size 12 shape and then grade up or down and add the relevant seaming detail to construct individual designs. I've used them to design and make all types of clothing from trousers to wedding dresses, particularly boned bodices. The blocks are made from tough plastic and are marked with relevant notches and darts. They do not include a seam allowance; this is usually added when the paper pattern pieces are being constructed. Some of the blocks have been crumpled while in storage, but this has not affected the overall shape of the block. The set of blocks includes: Front Bodice - bust dart to shoulder Front Bodice - bust dart to side seam Back Bodice Back Bodice with shoulder dart Front Boned Bodice - straight waisted Front Boned Bodice - with v-shaped front Side Front Boned Bodice Sleeve Block Front Through - for dresses Back Through Front Skirt Back Skirt Front Trouser Back Trouser The full set of blocks is £.
