1 Year old Patterdale Terrier requires a new loving home. Due to change of circumstances with work, I can no longer give my dog the exercise and attention he needs. He is a lovely dog with a lovely temperament around people, including children. He loves cuddles, and belly tickles. He is good with other dogs when off the lead but can be funny when on the lead with some dogs, mainly barking. He is not suited to sharing a home with other dogs and definitely not cats. He needs lots of exercise and would suit a farm or rural location. He is lovely and we will be sad to see him go but we cannot give him the time he needs and deserves. Bobby is a castrated mature Yorkshire Terrier who hasn't had the good life he deserves. The older lady who had him became very unwell. She could not look after him properly and Bobby became neglected. He is still a sweet guy and I have not seen any aggression. He is living with me until I find him a forever home. He is still very active, loves his walks and pottering around the garden. He will need someone who is at home the majority of the time. He seems to have gotten fuss by whinging, so vocal but he calms down quickly and is a fast learner with a bit of luncheon meat. I have cats and he has been fine with them. I am not sure of his exact age but I would say he is over 10 years old with slight loss of hearing and standard yorkie size, not teacup. Older children only. Homes will be checked so I will drive him to meet anyone. He has a vets appointment on tuesday the 21st November to get him a good check over. I am in the DY5 area

Patterdale Terrier requires loving home

This is Alfie the Patterdale. He is a much loved family pet. House trained and fully up to date with vaccinations. He loves long walks, especially in the Lake District and local surrounding outdoors. He is a friendly dog and loves to play. Generally he is not let off the lead due to his inclination to explore but maybe with more attention and training this will be manageable. He is 7 years old and requires a loving home. We have to let him go due to a change in circumstances which doesn’t allow him the time and attention he deserves, he will be sadly missed but will make a fantastic contribution to his new home. He can be left inside during the day, doesn’t cry and is used to being on his own whilst we are at work. He has struggled with our baby due to the noises and unpredictable nature of toddlers but has always been fine with children who have visited. However due to this he would be more suited to a family with older children or a couple. This has been an extremely hard decision for us and we will only allow him to go to a loving home and therefore would be visiting his potential new home to check suitability.
