A Pair of Bronze Stags Signed Moigniez

These are a gorgeous pair of French bronze stags which are signed by Moigniez on the base (please see close up photo). The pair have been cast from the finest dark brown bronze which has a lovely nutty brown patina. They would make for a great decorative item for your home and are offered in very good condition. Being bronze this will last forever without rusting and hence is a great investment as it will always appreciate in value. Aside from being aesthetically pleasing and nice to look at they can also become heirlooms. Bronze is any of several alloys consisting mainly of copper and tin. Neither ancient nor modern bronzes consist only of these two metals. A pair of impressive hollow cast bronze 12 point stags, each standing on a rocky outcrop. The pair are mounted on Italian marble plinths and signed J Moigniez to the base. These are not the originals from the late 's but excellent cast copies from a later date. Each stag stands 76cm tall In very good condition. These are beautiful and would grace any home as they are quite a head turner. They have been in the family a while but they are not to my taste so selling on to someone who would be more appreciative of their beauty.
