Golden Oak, Hand Carved Victorian Antique Drop-In Chairs,Professionally Re-upholstered

Gorgeous and ornate victorian circa hand carved oak chairs in very rare golden oak. Very heavy and recently professionally refurbished in the traditional drop-in style. These chairs are very unusual and were bought in a house clearance on the Isle of Skye when I moved into my current house. I bought them as they look so ornate and the colour of the oak glows. The colour and finish of the wood tells me they are handmade and together with the subtle lack of symmetry in the carving also. Beautiful Painted Dining Table And Six Upholstered Chairs

Stunning French Style dining set for sale Beautifully Carved Detail To The Table Legs & Matching Chairs The table top has been stripped, sanded and waxed with a good quality furniture wax to show off the beautiful pattern in the graining of the mahogany veneer, this also gives protection to the wood but care still needs to be taken to avoid marking. The table base, legs and skirt have been painted in Laura ashley Pale Dove Grey Eggshell which is a lovely soft grey that compliments the fabric on the chair seats. The paintwork has also been waxed to give further protection. The table seats six comfortably but would easily seat eight when fully extended, this can be done by adding the two separate leaves. The chairs have been painted in the same Laura Ashley Eggshell and covered with Ironwork Scroll fabric in Dove Grey from the Laura Ashley range. Measurements approximate Table: 68.5" long extending to 88.5" x 42.5" wide x 31" high Chairs: 42" high x " wide x 18" deep. PLEASE NOTE This dining set is a pre owned set that is in good used condition but as with all used furniture it shows some signs of use from its previous life, this I feel only adds to its charm and character. There are a couple of places on one of the extention leaves where the veneer has worn and one place on the edge of the table is worn slightly but this is hardly noticable and does not affect its use. Vintage oak carver chairs up cycled and painted in Annie Sloan Old White chalk paint with 2 coats of wax. Subtle use of dark graphite coloured wax which enhances the piece, also slight distressing.
