The telephone works in the old fashioned way with a rotary dial, and the bells ring out loudly with it’s double gongs. The Bakelite has a nice deep sheen with no chips or cracks. The wooden bell box has GPO E embossed on the back, and contains a circuit diagram attached to the door, for Bell Set No. 1 Mark 235. There is also a separate diagram marked N250 and dated . Also another diagram (curved). Both show connections. Black and gold antique style cordless telephone. It hasn’t been used for at least the last thirty years but prior to that was in regular use. I don’t know for sure how old it is but I estimate it to be nearly 40. As you will see from the pictures it doesn’t have the modern BT style jack socket but has two bare wires.
