The bureau comes from Adam Bede. It comes in two parts and will fit in any car. Has 6 drawers for pens, stamps etc. and a leather insert in the writing section. It is very pretty. Vintage Bureau/Writing Desk Grey

Vintage bureau featuring a rambling rose design. Made of an oriental hardwood, the bureau has been painted all over (including the back) in a Dove grey chalk paint with a white wash to finish. 2 deep drawers give plenty of storage space - these are lined with a pretty bird theme paper. A particular feature are the integral handles which are in the shape of a sea shell - this is also repeated on the fall flap. Inside the bureau the cubby holes have been left in the original wood finish with the same paper used on the bottom of each hole. The cubby hole unit is completely freestanding giving the option to remove it without affecting the interior. The main body sits on long elegant legs. The inside has been varnished with a water based matt varnish, with the outer finished in a clear wax to protect the paintwork. Unfortunately there is no key.
