We have just had this surround taken out, as the Castec fire insert we wanted was too high to fit inside the arch.Tried always to figure out how to keep this surround as it is one of the nicest I have seen. Unfortunately I had to give in and get a different one which in my opinion is not as stylish as the Nexis Pentland. These are currently showing on a number of fireplace websites a being reduced from £ to £.Please don't take my word - have a look see for yourself. We used this surround regularly with a gas insert, but not for a while. You will see on websites that the surround is suitable for use with Electric Fires, which I find surprising as we have had no issues when using Gas. The Installer of our new insert said that the Hearth and Back panel with the Nexis we took out are Marble. I can only assume that the one you will find in the link may be different material, hence for an electric fire. The hearth we have is certainly a different shape, having mitred corners. (looks nicer than square) So the package for sale includes:- The Fire surround The Lipped and Mitred Hearth The back panel. ---------------------- I am not selling the Gas fire which was working when removed, but I will offer it free of charge on condition that the buyer has it serviced before use. The package is sitting in my garage and any inspection is welcome. As I said in the Ad. This surround is in perfect condition, (but please inspect and verify for yourself) and comes with the four fixing brackets which secure it to the wall. Cash on Collection. I may be able to deliver within a reasonable distance, however, payment would be required before delivery. Marble Fire Surround & Cast Iron Fire surround & Accessories

Hello. Here we have a Marble fire surround and a Cast Iron fire surround with the gas burner and Faux coals and Ornament. The marble is grey/white with black flecks. There is one broken piece to the right side of the marble surround (The narrow tall piece). this cannot be seen when assembled; you could glue it if you feel the need. Not broken on removal seems to be fitted in this condition The ornament has a gold green effect. Looks nice. (This covers the gas burner from view.).Simulates a fire grate.
