52' tug style narrowboat, steel work by Martin Brooks in the style of a Les Allen boat. Bob Allen helped Martin out in the early stages of building this boat. It is fitted with a Sabb 2G marine engine with Sabbs heavy duty gear box. This boat is an unfinished project but all the big and hard work has been done its just the finishing off, the living room and kitchen are the most unfinished. The back cabin requires 2 draws under the bed, ticket draw and moulding fitting (supplied) otherwise is grained out and ready to go includes, cooking range, light fittings and cushions. The engine room needs some cupboard doors and a bit of pipe boxing and cable trunking, nothing too serious. The bathroom need a few chamfers plaining onto capping strips, front of shower tray capping strip and a skylight surround plus varnishing, comes with shower, sink and portapotty. There is a small wardrobe to the right of the bathroom door, to the left os the door is a unfired Kabola E3 diesel central heating boiler with some of the connecting plumbing done to the calorifier which is also connected to the engine. The kitchen has a full size marine gas cooker used once. A batts 12V marine fridge, there is a Morco gas water heater and an unfinished drank unit, the sink is installed, comes with oak shaker style wooden draw fronts and cupboard doors these are still wrapped and unfitted. The from of the boat is lined but unfitted as is under the tug deck area. There is a seaflex water tank and a water pump at the front of the boat and immediately above the water tank is a large tank which was intended for diesel heating fuel. The front of the boat has a gas locker. The gas system and water system both work and passed the last boat safety (expires ) The electric system comprised of a single alternator with a split charge relay 3 domestic battery and one engine battery. The wiring is in for the lights, fridge and water pump, with other wires routed through but not connected. Engine electrics have a small control panel with a fuel gauge, oil pressure gauge, temperature gauge and volt meter. The fuel gauge can be switched between the main tank and the engine header tank/ day tank. There is a manual hand pump and an electric pump to fill the day tank. All this works. The engine had a comprehensive overhaul before being put into the boat, really just needs a coat of paint and a polish. The shafting to the rear of the boat is a carden shaft (lorry prop shaft) connected to a tail shaft that is supported in 2 thrust bearings. The hull was backed around around last September using 2pk epoxy pitch. Spare engine available. Only selling due to no time to finish and use, plus many more on the go projects. We have only been out and about just a handful of times it is fully useable and can be sailed away. LUNA is a beautiful 42ft cruiser Stern narrowboat livaboard. She was built in by a company called Harbough Marine with steel hull. I have lived on LUNA for 3 years and had so many happy times. Yellow rose is a traditional narrow boat built in by a very reputable company called Hancock and lane, they built high quality boats with the very best steel. Yellow rose has been used as a live aboard for the last 8 years, it is a cosy boat and at 65ft it's a good liveable size. It has a log burner as the main source of heating in the front room the dining room table converts into a double bed and there is a large walk in wardrobe for the ladies! Kitchen is a very good size with a gas cooker and hob, hot and cold running water heated by an instant gas heater. Bathroom has an electric pump out toilet and a shower that is big enough to sit in and have a small bath. Back bedroom has a fixed double bed and a heater for the colder nights. The engine room has a bomb proof lister sr2 engine that has never skipped a beat since I have owned it, these engines may be old but looked after they will never stop. There is a boat safety certificate with about 3 years left on it. It's had several surveys done over the years, I had a hull survey done about 3 years ago which was good with no issues. Aim4theBank is a 50ft semi-traditional narrowboat currently moored at Caen Hill Marina just outside Devizes. It was built in by Burton Narrowboats and has a Yanmar Shire Diesel Engine. It has 12v electrics with 240v electrics via an 800w inverter when cruising, a battery charger, galvanic isolator, one starter and three domestic batteries. The Eberspächer diesel fired water heater supplies three radiators and hot water by a calorifier heated by the engine, but the solid fuel stove is usually enough to keep it warm and cosy. It has a modern interior with a 19ft open plan living room and kitchen, containing a 240v fridge, gas oven and grill with two hobs, storage space and shelving. The bathroom has a mixer shower, washbasin, Thetford cassette toilet and storage, and the 10ft bedroom has a double bed, wardrobe and double doors onto the front deck. The boat has been regularly blacked and maintained, with its last blacking in May , and has a Boat Safety certificate that is valid until . I bought it in when it was moored in Bath Marina, and it was my home for five years before I brought it to Devizes and began renting it to a friend.
