Nakamichi 480Z - High End Cassette Deck - needs servicing.

Nakamichi 480Z cassette deck with Dolby b/c and Bias control, good cosmetic condition, needs servicing as not been used for 20 years!! One for the audiophile or collector of high end equipment - Nakamichi are universally accepted as the Rolls Royce of tape decks. Powers up, display light up ok, controls work correctly, drive motors run on FF and Rewind - tape capstan motors run too. When this was put into storage, it didn't always release from pause correctly, therefore the tape wouldn't run. I've hunted high and low for a cassette to test it with to no avail, so selling as needing service / repair. I'm happy for you to visit and test the unit yourself prior to purchase. Market price for one of these prestige decks looks to be around £400 when fully serviced. Asking £180, sold as seen. Collection or carriage at cost.
