Nice little project cheap. The boat is sound and comes with mast rigging and sails. I took this boat as part exchange on another but I know very little about sailing. I was told that its a rare example as the top is made by Norman boats? You may know more than I. The insides are very basic and need a good clean and upholstery etc. Its missing a couple of hatch covers and the gelcoat has a few scuffs that may polish out. Its a very sturdy little bilge keeled example. I am told that the mast sails and rigging are worth more than Im asking for the lot. Beatrix II is a true classic, the Contessa 26 was designed by David Sadler and built by Jeremy Rogers, based upon the original Folkboat design. Credited with many successful long distance voyages and considerable success in the Round Isle of Wight and other races, the Contessa 26 has excellent sea-keeping qualities - a safe smaller cruiser for family sailing and capable of extended voyaging. There is an active Contessa 26 Association online. This is a lovely example, the hull and deck are still the original gel coat and never been painted. Below the waterline was epoxied some years ago for protection. Brand new tiller fitted this season and hatchboards completely refurbished. The boat is fitted with a Yanmar 1GM Diesel inboard which runs sweetly, also very economical and pushes the boat through the water nicely. Mainsail and jib in good useable condition (New ) Marine WC toilet to starboard between forward cabin and saloon. Hot and cold pressurised water system with shower head in the cockpit for swimming wash down! (Bathing ladder over stern) The special 'cat' rig enables easy sailing with no need to go forward to change tack or go about. Just turn through the wind and keep going!! The sails are drawn to the cockpit winch for simple handling, and for short crew operation. The wheel steering is abaft the cockpit table, with fold out leaves. The boat has full instrumentation...depth, radio (two, one handheld) revs, amps, wind direction, compass, etc. Vessel comes complete with all warps, lines and fenders.The diesel engine is 3 cylinder, Universal, 21 hp. For sale our lovely 5 berth Bruce Roberts sailing yacht. We have had some amazing times with her but she is now looking for more adventure with a new Captain. Currently on the water in Gosport Hampshire. The Vessel - copied from last survey Bruce Roberts designed 34' sailing yacht. The year of build is believed to be circa . Overall length - 33.5' Waterline length - 24.5' Overall beam - ' Draft - 5.5' Displacement - 5 tons (approx) The hull was moulded in GRP with a straight raked stem, round bilges and a retrousse stern. The topsides were finished with a hard resin, white gelcoat that had been over painted in white. Below the waterline the hull was seen to be of moulded GRP shell, stiffened internally by stringers bonded to the interior and supported upon a steel 'H' frame. A Yanmar 3GM three cylinder, 30HP marine diesel drives a fixed three bladed propeller through a reduction gearbox and conventional shaft arrangement. Encapsulated fin keel, wheel steering through a 'skeg hung rudder' and self draining cockpit. Good points - she sleeps 5, forecabin has double berth, saloon area converts to double, pilot berth aft. Comes with two main sails, furling genoa and a cruising shute. Paraffin cooker, wet room with shower. Deck recently painted. VAT exempt, surveys and paperwork from . Not so good points - unfinished refit to front double cabin the basics are complete so new owner can choose final finish to their taste. I have for sale the Aluminum foil for a Rotostay FS Headsail reefing system. The luff groove is 7 mm. it is in three parts 2 at 12.6 feet long and one shorter piece that I forgot to measure.
