This is a japanese made stereo microscope,no manafactuer's name on it.It has 2 magnifications on it,40x-80x.The matched stereo objectives are of 2x and4x the eyepieces are 20x.These eyepieces can be interchanged with other manafactuer's eyepieces,being standard microscope eyepieces,giving a wider range of magnifications.A stereo microscope doesn't require any preparation of object to be viewed.You can put a solid object on the stage and with the upper and lower lighting it can be viewed optically straight away in detail.Optics are very sharp and clear.Mains operated lighting,all metal construction.Iv'e had it for 2 years,only been used a handful of times.Operates as brand new,all adjustable movements are very smooth.
