Mesa Boogie MK III Combo

This is an 80s Mesa Boogie Mk III Simulclass 1 x 12 combo.Rated at 100 in simulclass or 60w by switching to class A. This amp is iconic and has so many features that it is much sought after. The amp is over 30 years old and though showing some signs of wear it is in great condition for its age. Its effectively a 3 channel amp via the pull dials on the front or by the foot switches supplied. It also has a 5 band EQ which can be set on/off or auto. Around the back it has a direct output socket with its own volume, a send and return circuit, presence, reverb and extension speaker output sockets. And as mentioned, the simulclass/Class A switch. The speaker is an Electrovoice and has an awesome sound. The transformer is heavy duty and contributes to the massive sound too. The whole amp is wonderfully huge sounding yet can be tamed via the master and lead master dials on the front. The clean tone is fabulous and the overdrive channels are singing, give a truly versatile amp. It had an overhaul about a year ago and new preamp and power valves have been fitted. The amp has never been gigged or played out and only used at home. Highly versatile amp with Tube driven reverb, 2 channels (foot-switchable), 4 modes. The 5W power setting is extremely useful for home practice. Separate Reverb and Contour controls on each channel and both are footswitchable. For sale a Mesa Boogie Nomad 55 1x12 3-channel all-valve combo in very good condition, superb clean sounds and everything from crunch to liquid sustain from the 2 overdrive channels. The power stage takes either EL34 or 6L6 valves (currently has EL34s fitted). All in good working order except the reverb which isn't, the amp might benefit from some new pre-amp valves but not vital. Please note the flight case in the pics isn't included.
