Here we have a Mesa Boogie Lonestar Special, 1x12 inch speaker, 30 watt all tube amp. It can also be stepped down to lower wattages for smaller venues or home use. Absolutely brilliant amp. I've gigged it and it's been solid and never let me down. The reverb unit, however, doesn't work. I have not looked into it as I never use verb on amps, but I've heard it could be an easy fix. This stunning amp has so much going for it and provides a real high end level of performance with a cracking range of tones and and versatile features. Thirty Watts, bold and pure from all four power tubes punches through the mix and hangs with a band in mid-size venues. Fifteen watts cries the blues with sinful passion …coaxing expressive soul from an electron-soaked pair of EL-84’s. Both these circuits run Pure Class A in a Push-Pull configuration. But what really makes this Lone Star Special is its ability to switch down to five watts of single-ended power bliss (patent pending). In Push-Pull circuits, the second harmonic is canceled out when the two halves of the wave-form are re-combined in the output transformer. Unlike Push-Pull, Single-Ended circuits preserve this most musical of all harmonics. This is an extremely rare Mesa Boogie Studio Preamp with IIC++ Mod. Mesa don't do these mods anymore, and this is only one of THREE Studio Pre's with this mod in existence! Mesa MK4b Combo up for sale is my Mesa mk4 combo b variant these are very collectible and one of the best amps ever made in my opinion. This amp is in gigged condition, front and sides are fine, the back has some tears in the tolex and the little metal clips that hold the foot switch to the back of the amp for transport are beat. None of this has any impact on stability, tone or playability of this amp. The foot switch is scratched but functions perfect. The amp has recently being service by the store it was purchased from. I have also recently swapped out all the valves including power amp valves which are computer matched for reliability. these amps do not need to be biased and as long as you replace the power valves with equivalents matched in similar plate voltage you are fine. i still have the old valves if you want them as they probably have some life left in them. This amp is a monster but if I am honest i just do not use it and i am more of a set and forget guy Trade wise would only consider something really special, high end guitars and amps Although cash is king. Mesa Boogie MK III Combo

This is an 80s Mesa Boogie Mk III Simulclass 1 x 12 combo.Rated at 100 in simulclass or 60w by switching to class A. This amp is iconic and has so many features that it is much sought after. The amp is over 30 years old and though showing some signs of wear it is in great condition for its age. Its effectively a 3 channel amp via the pull dials on the front or by the foot switches supplied. It also has a 5 band EQ which can be set on/off or auto. Around the back it has a direct output socket with its own volume, a send and return circuit, presence, reverb and extension speaker output sockets. And as mentioned, the simulclass/Class A switch. The speaker is an Electrovoice and has an awesome sound. The transformer is heavy duty and contributes to the massive sound too. The whole amp is wonderfully huge sounding yet can be tamed via the master and lead master dials on the front. The clean tone is fabulous and the overdrive channels are singing, give a truly versatile amp. It had an overhaul about a year ago and new preamp and power valves have been fitted. The power valves are JJ's and are super smooth. Mesa Boogies are collectable and will always retain their value, but best of all, they're great amps, so play loud! Fantastic build quality and sound. 100 watt and built like a tank Masses of head room, better than a twin reverb in my opinion, and has an overdrive to die for which can go from a bluesy crunch to a metal overdrive so would suit a guitarist that needs a little more volume for clean, but believe me when you overdrive on the extra boost (contour) you suddenly become EVH. Selling my Mesa Boogie Express x12 combo which is in mint condition. I have owned this amp from new, bought from PMT in Manchester in . The amp has never been gigged or played out and only used at home. Highly versatile amp with Tube driven reverb, 2 channels (foot-switchable), 4 modes. The 5W power setting is extremely useful for home practice. Separate Reverb and Contour controls on each channel and both are footswitchable.
