100w Marshall JMP amplifier, serial number SL/A J (manufactured in . A bit of history insomuch as it has spent time in both Metropolis & Olympic studios. Never used since a service by Roland Lumby in Manchester. Early 70s Marshall 4x12 angled cab. In great condition some tears on rear tolex but front grill is in great condition. Has original recessed side handles & 3 original t greenback speakers which date to early , date codes would indicate original speakers. One speaker was blown and has been replaced with a ts from, I think but I can check that for sure. Otherwise internally the wiring etc is as it was when it left the factory. Marshall JMP 50 Plexi vintage valve amp head, dated by Marshall to or early

Marshall JMP 50 Plexi vintage valve amp head, dated by Marshall to or early RECENTLY SERVICED and in full working order. I have owned and used this amp for almost 40 years and I am selling reluctantly now only because I have retired from gigging. The amp has been regularly serviced during a long and active working life. It has therefore undergone some parts replacements, but it retains many original components. I’ve included photos showing the internal electrics and the exterior condition of the case. More pix can be emailed on request. Before offering the amp for sale I’ve had it fully serviced, tested and upgraded to meet modern electrical safety standards. The work was carried out by Chris Taylor at Vintage Amp Services and included a complete re-valve with new Tube Amp Doctor valves, new fuse holders, new safety-compliant standby and on/off switches and a modern I.E.C. mains socket fitted. The mains voltage is hardwired to 240V and the speaker impedance selector to 8ohms. This was for my convenience when the original movable selector inserts were lost. A current equivalent Marshall reissue X head would cost you around £ new. This amp is not a mass-produced reissue, it’s a piece of hand-wired rock ’n roll history from the ’s. Marshall JMP super lead MKII 'W - built

Fantastic sounding classic Marshall amp. Incredibly punchy and responsive to dynamics. Theses amps were favoured by AC/DC and have a classic vintage tone and plenty of power. Built in this is the reissue of the super lead. The amp has 2 channels which can be linked with a jumper cable between the front input sockets. Marshall JMP 50 watt amplifier head in excellent condition with no issues. A few small dings in the tolex but nothing to cause concern - you would have to look hard to notice them. Amp has had a service in the last year or two and has not been used since. The serial number ends with M which makes it a year of manufacture.

VINTAGE MARSHALL JMP 50 LEAD AMP HEAD – – HANDWIRED – MULLARD VALVES - COLLECTERS GRADE

Marshall JMP Stock code: Lead Serial number E Genuine Vintage Marshall Up for sale here is my Marshall JMP 50 watt lead head. This is in collectors /museum grade condition and is as close to mint as you will find a 44 year old amp. Everything works and it sounds and looks fantastic. The photos do the best job of showing this and as you can see the tolex covering, aluminium front and rear panels and case are unmarked, just as they left the factory. It has the original Drake transformers and a complete set of Mullard valves which I suspect are the originals. was the last year of the point to point handwired amps and this one still has the original bulgin socket on the back. I’ve owned this amp for 9 years, it’s had home use only but I’ve had it serviced several times during that time to keep it in top condition. It is in very original condition but the few components that have been replaced are in the last photo. When I bought it the standby toggle switch, which would have been the ‘black bat’ plastic type like the On/Off switch, had been replaced with a vintage re-issue metal toggle switch from Marshall. I had this replaced with a second hand original but if you look closely the lock washer is slightly different to the one on the On/Off switch. This is cosmetic and obviously doesn’t affect the operation of the amp but in the interests of being completely open and honest I’m pointing it out and if the buyer wants a matching lock washer for the On/Off switch I can get one. I’ve just had it checked over by my tech last week, to make sure it’s in top condition to sell, and he replaced one of the power valves with an identical used period Mullard EL34. I will supply the original with the sale. It runs quietly, just sounds the business and is guaranteed to put a smile on your face! It comes with its original Marshall slip cover and bulgin power lead which has been fitted with a modern sealed plug for safety. This is a real find for a serious collector or player, there can’t be many Marshalls from this era in this condition and they rarely come up for sale. I’m selling because I’m in the process of downsizing my collection of vintage amps and guitars as I retired last year and my wife and I are looking to move to a smaller house. This is a genuine and reluctant sale and I’m sure that whoever buys it will be delighted with it. Note: the 4x12 cab shown in some of the photos is not included but is for sale so please ask. Marshall JMP 50w combo

50w all valve vintage Marshall JMP combo from . They really don't make them like this anymore and the sound it produces is just amazing! Condition is fair as it looks like it has seen some action in its life time but it is still in pretty good condition for its age. Since I have had it I have replaced the carry handle, corner protectors and the plastic vent on the top as they were either broken or very tatty. As far as I'm aware the speakers aren't original to the amp but they are a matched pair and are older celestions that sound great. The writing on the control panel has faded slightly but you can still make out what they say. Great condition, having spend all its life in a rack in my home studio. Comes with the dedication 4-way footswitch and cable, in its original box. Original user manual included. I used this for creating authentic "stack" guitar sounds in my studio, but it can be used in a live rig, with a power-amp. Very little use at all but a beautiful head and cab plus very rare. Marshall JMP Lead & Bass 20 plus the original cab. The head was made on Halloween ! All in very good original condition, even comes with protective covers. The amp was serviced in April and has not been used since so in full working order and ready to go! I have taken lots of photos to try to show it in it's true condition. One thing that came up during the service is some scorching to part of the plastic wiring board (see photos).
