Mangalitza Pork meat. Fantastic Home grown pork, prepared by local butcher. My mangalitza pigs were bread in Wales and reared up here in the North East for 2.5 years. They were free range pigs, with a very happy life that shows in the end product. The meat is dark and has a stronger flavour than normal supermarket pork, but is not as strong as wild boar. The meat requires a slow cook, or tenderising in a pressure cooker before roasting. The sausages and bacon can be fried or grilled as normal and are to die for.
