This handsome late Victorian mahogany 4 tier Whatnot is in excellent original condition with NO cracks, splits or any other damage apart from a couple of very small chips which are hardly noticeable. MAHOGANY CHEST OF DRAWERS 2 over 3 - VICTORIAN/EDWARDIAN I bought this a while ago intending to renovate it but have now moved on to other interests. Sturdy, solid wood, original antique piece of furniture now needing some TLC to bring it back to its original glory or ready to 'shabby chic' it to bring it up to date. Generous storage to slip into an alcove or take its place with pride as a statement piece of furniture. It's structurally sound but sad:-(Two small drawers at the top with three drawers below. All handles are original, and in a dimpled style. All drawers intact and will open to the full extent, although two are stiff to open. All drawers will pull completely out of the chest. Has all four original chunky feet. The trim round the bottom is damaged and I had intended to remove it completely, but if you have the skill you could replace it. All the drawers still have the original locks, but no key - perhaps you have a little old key ready to find a new lock to love?? The top is marked and scuffed. Dimensions: 120cm tall (including the feet which are 15cm tall) 96 cm wide 44cm deep (excluding handles) I've seen these selling for over £200 when renovated or updated. Collection only from Bristol. A very attractive late Victorian/Edwardian inlaid mahogany bureau / writing desk circa , in good condition. It is relatively small and lightweight, and would fit into a smallish space (for example, the corner of a sitting room or study, or entrance hall). The desk is inlaid with lighter woods, probably satinwood and boxwood. It has cabriole legs and drop handles. The writing surface folds down and is supported by two retractable arms.
