I have owned these Mackie SRS Subs for a couple of years now, and they have only had minimal use due to the size of venue's played. Have run with along side the Mackie SRM 450, the these fill all the gaps, blending the music to a shockingly loud level when needed. They have been recently serviced and all working as they should. Due to upgrades to lighter equipment, these need to find a new home. If you know your Mackies, you will know that these give an amazing true sound to high levels with no distortion... I always look after my kit and will not run to more than 1/2 to 2/3 on the volume dials... There is only 1 cover, someone at a function though it would be a laugh to nick the other one! Mackie SWA Subwoofer Bass Bin Speaker Sub Active RCF For sale, a great sub, nice deep bass. Has signs of use, general scratches etc. Also has a a crack in one of fins. Is not very noticeable when using at a gig as it just blends in. Doesn't affect sound quality at all! This is a passive conversion, it was active until the amp stopped working. I still have the amplifier, it was taken to JPF amplification in london who repaired as much as he could, but still needs a new optocoupler. They are available online, but mainly from china. neither the shop or i am prepared to buy electronics from china nor have the effort to fix it. hence im selling it. i have still been using it for a few bigger gigs since it broke - It now just uses an external amplifier. A suitable amp would be an 8 ohm at 500w rms. But ive been using a 250w bass amp and was reaching super loud bass at around 3/10 to 4/10 on the amp. I can test on collection to show that the driver is still fully working. Have attached a few pictures of me using it. It looks great, it sounds great, it is great! Am happy to take offers. These Mackie active PA speakers have been used for 6 gigs and they haven't been 'thrashed'. They have been stored in their Mackie bags and are in very good condition. The PA has had little use, never been driven hard and in "as new" condition apart from a volume knob missing on one of the subs which doesn't affect the operation or performance of the speaker. The speaker tops come with speaker bags and the subs with vinyl padded covers. These have some wear but loads of life left in them. This pa is compact and lightweight but carries a massive punchy sound with loads of bottom end. Will suit band or DJ. I can also include a short set of speaker poles. PA an be heard on request. The PA is also expandable by simply adding more tops or subs.
