The new neodymium woofer's magnet is lighter in mass, therefore faster than ceramics, giving the SRM450 v2's bass more punch. The new longer 3" voice coil allows the woofer to handle heat more efficiently, so it produces a consistently full dynamic range--even at maximum output.
