S Yairi master luthier acoustic guitar

If you have'nt heard of Sadao Yairi he is the best luthier in Japan in the 70s and 80 s. Went out of business in s and died in the s. He insisted that guitars should be hand made not made by a machine. Look up Yairiluvr for his history. A rare single owner vintage custom hand made Japanese guitar. A collectors guitar or players guitar. S Yairi used to make Lowden guitars Owned by an electric guitarist who received it new as a present in . The owner always favoured electric guitars guitar so the condition is largely as it was in . I thought the condition was almost perfect as with a cursory check this is how it appears but looking very closely there are some small signs that it has been used. A small dent in the edge of the top finish and slight scratches in the finish on the back but overall for its age it is in suprisingly good condition. Normally I would attempt to improve the guitar finish but I am reluctant to interfere with this guitar as its thin finish (to give the best tone) is all part of its design and should be left as original as possible. S Yairi is said by some to be the top s luthier described by some as the Japanese Stradivarius. He went out of production around and produced relatively few guitars as they were hand made and each guitar was built by a single luthier. His nephew K Yairi makes excellent guitars linked in with Alvarez guitars but for every 10 of them for sale there is only one S Yairi. Why so cheap? I am a player/collector so I am not making a profit (taxman please note) as. I am not a dealer so for usual retail value add £500 and for dealer £300. This is a Simon and Patrick Luthier Pro Mahogany (made by Godin) in Mint Condition. I bought this in December last year, but I've not had the chance to use it. It was restrung with Nano coated strings at the time. I can't remember if they were d'addario or Elixir but they were deffo one of these. It has had a few strums and then has been sat in the case ever since. I've just got it out and checked it, tuned and polished and is in awesome shape. When I bought it I contacted Godin for info on it as I couldn't find anything on tinternet. This was their reply, Hi, Your S&P Pro Mahogany was built in and has a solid spruce top, a solid mahogany back, laminated mahogany sides, spruce bracing, a mahogany neck and a rosewood fingerboard and bridge.
