Approximately 50 engravers were involved in the execution. The originals are all by the landscape artist William Tombleson (around - around ), the text by William Gray Fearnside. "(Schmitt: Die illustrierten Rhein-Beschreibungen, page 264)In addition to the title vignette, the volume contains all 69 full-page steel engravings with trilingual inscriptions on cardboard-thick paper and interleaves made of tracing paper.
