Pretty Section A Five Year Old Mare

This is a very sad sale of our beautiful and lovable family pony. Starlight is a registered section A, five year old mare, measuring 11.1hh. She has been lovingly taken through preliminary education of lunging, long reining and has been lightly and successfully shown in hand in . She has been led at walk with my four year old daughter. This has been in the school and on walks around the lanes. She doesn't seem phased by this at all. She is not a spooky animal. When many others would shy she doesn't. She is very mature in many ways. She does listen to your voice and is very light on the lead but is forward going. She is a very trusting animal. Because she has only had experience being ridden at walk, she will need proper training to build on her experience before being taken out for rides with a child on. We have not yet worked on trot when ridden and she has been out of work for winter. We are just starting to work her again and she is happy to be back in training. Up to date with tetanus, worming and teeth. She is good with farrier and to load. She is in excellent health and is very affectionate with the whole family and all the animals; dogs, ducks, chickens & sheep. With further training, a confident and experienced leader and love she will excel in whatever she does in the future. She would be great as a driving, companion pony and with the right training would excel as a ridden pony. Pretty Bay roan mare 4 year old with huge potential in

Robyn has started her training as a riding pony but has no pilot. She is home bred and has always been handled. She walks nicely on a lead rein, manages gates neatly and responds appropriately to voice commands to stand, back, walk on and come round. She likes small people and has the typical kindness of a Welsh Mountain Pony. She needs a capable adult to bring her on but will, I am sure, make an ideal child's pony, quiet on a lead rein with potential as a pony club or show pony. Would also possibly make a driving pony. She is not registered with the WPCS but is passported, innoculated and has been wormed or egg counted all her life. (April count was clear). Story behind Lulu is that I bought her for my daughter to ride as I was told she was broken, hacked around a housing estate, tied up outside a shop on a main road when they went in....etc. I looked at her at 3.30 and by 7pm she was in my stable as she was in a filthy stable with a scattering of filthy shavings, 2 big 24 hour nets both empty and a shitty water bucket. I couldn't leave her. Once I got her the girl said she had been ridden bareback, traveller style and she won't stand still for you to get on. I am not one for rodeo trick riding so we have just had her as a pet for 6 months. With my shop, kids and the other ponies I have no time for a project pony. She is so loving and once she trusts that you arn't going to whip or beat her she is so attentive. She comes to call from the far side of the field if she knows you have a treat. 14.2 hh coloured 6 year old mare

Very sad sale of my 9 year old daughters 6 year old coloured mare. "Gypsy" This horse has masses of potential. She loves being a show off and works beautifully on the bridle. She is hot shod front and back. We have clipped her out numerous times without an ounce of bother. No need for sedation or twitching etc. She is great to hose and bath/plait. Not too fond of mane pulling so I cheat and use a solo comb! Gyp hacks out not a bit if bother and if unsure of anything will just stare at it rather than spinning /napping. She is on a busy working farm/ livery yard and is used to dogs and farm machinery. She has been schooled in the arena in the heaviest of storms and has behaved impeccably. Gyp is good to mount, lead, catch, box and travel. We have had her out regularly in a trailer and she knows once u drop the ramp that she is off for a little trip lol! Gyp is 3/4 trotter cross cob. She has amazing power and incredible trot work. She is still developing balance in her canter work but we have put tons of Lunge work work in to help with this. Gyp is currently ridden in a hanging cheek snaffle. She has jumped courses of 80cm clear and fast! I have to be completely honest and say that i want this little mare someone who will shower her with time and attention. They also need to show her who is boss from time to time. My 5 year old daughter can lead her round the yard no problem and she really loves the fuss! Gyp has been placed or won in every single dressage intro test we have been to. She has had amazing judges comments. She also won her first ever showing class on her first time out. Gyp has regular physio and thermal scans to keep her in good shape. 16hh Welsh x Arab 6 year old mare

I’m reluctantly advertising my beautiful mare. She’s an approximately 16hh 6 year old Welsh cob x Arab chestnut mare with 4 white socks. Luna is the sweetest mare and is very easy to handle in and out of the stable. She takes her reassurance from her handler. She is nervous when taking rugs off so I have found by folding them forwards and reassuring her whilst you do this she’s fine. She’s getting better every time you do it. I have not clipped her yet, she is again fairly nervous but I have run the clippers over her whilst they were running and again she just needs reassurance. Luna will happily load into a trailer but she does get worried and can rush off although she does nothing nasty. When she came to me she travelled in a 3.5ton lorry and was fine. With time I’m sure she’d happily travel in a trailer. To ride she is a blank canvas. She’s green with her schooling and jumping. She will go in a lovely outline but needs someone that understands a sensitive and young horse. She is green with jumping but certainly has some scope and really enjoys it. I have taught her how to lunge and she will now happily lunge. She hacks out in company, she will have a look at things occasionally but with encouragement will happily walk on. She has started hacking on her own. I have walked her out alone in-hand and she has been fantastic. I am selling her as I feel she needs more than what I can give her. She will only be sold to the perfect home and an experienced rider. With time and understanding she will be an amazing all rounder.
