Marble Top Washstand, Dresser, Sideboard or Hall table. Height (to marble top) approx cm), Depth cm), Length cm) Victorian (I think) Top comes off for easy lifting and transportation. Tiles all good. Marble has a blemish (see pic), but I think this just adds to the character. Brass Towel rails good condition. Plenty of storage room - and if used in a Bathroom a handy top shelf for lotions and potions. Would make a very attractive feature piece in a bathroom with a table top sink. I have checked with a plumber and it will accommodate the necessary pipe work and a hole just needs to be cut in the marble (this was my original intention, but I've gone down the boring route of a normal sink!). Does show signs of wear as you would expect for its age. Would look stunning "Shabby Chic'd" up or just left as is, anywhere in the house. Lovely piece, my loss is your gain! Antique washstand dated inside, freshly refurbished in Annie Sloan French Linen with Provence internally for a bright contrasting effect. With a delicate stencil motif of a bird in flight painted on the cupboard door. The washstand has been lightly distressed to give a slight worn aged look. Finished with two coats of clear wax to protect and shine. The base of the cupboard has been lined with heatproof mat & a pretty oilcloth, cut to fit which can be removed if preferred. The washstand has a grey marble worktop which has lovely characteristic marble rings & striking patination. The upstand has been fitted with regency style tiles, with a beautiful original copper towel rail on one side with a gorgeous dull patina. The legs sit on four ceramic castors and the marble top lifts off easily for transportation. I can deliver for fuel cost, if the washstand will not fit in your car. Lovely marble washstand with tiled back and cupboard

This is a useful and attractive piece of furniture which I have had for 36 years and am selling reluctantly because we have downsized on retirement and just don't have enough room for everything. The tiles on the backboard are burgundy with gold/yellow/green floral motifs and in perfect condition as is the marble top with red, white and grey hues in the marbling. The only wear is slight where the little catch for the cupboard door turns around. I have used the cupboard for napkins and tablecloths but it is a useful size for anything. It has castors on all four legs. I would consider a reasonable offer from someone who wants to give this a good home. Read More
