Raleigh Caprice. The Raleigh Caprice is one of the most beautiful and iconic ladies British bikes, but this one is even a bit more special as it is the Liz Peperell limited edition, feturing a wonderful all-white finish and decorated with flower motifs designed by the popular British illustrator Liz Peperell. Apart from the formidable looks, this is a serious bike, made to last. 3 speed, caliper, brakes, chormed rims, etc. Plenty of accessories: mudguards, chainguard, bell, kick stand, rear carrier, front basket, reflectors... all you need for your urban adventures. It is very nice to ride. Really comfortable, relaxed and actually faster than it looks. Super smooth too. It is excellent mechanically, just serviced for the sale including: - New brake cables. - New Sturmey Archer gear cable. - New Fribrax outers in white. - New Michelin World Tour white-walled tyres. - New chain. - New Bobbin front wicker basket (of course in white too!). Everything works and it is ready to go. Just cycle away. Cosmetically is very good but as normal in a vintage bike it is not perfect. There are marks and scratchess here and there and a bit of rust... but nothing major, just cosmetic and marginal. Overall it looks amazing as you can see in pictures and actually you will struggle to find a similar bike in this condition. Vintage Raleigh ladies touring / commuting bike. Fully working.

Nice s Raleigh ladies touring bike. Lovely mixte frame geometry. Strong and elegant. Michelin World Tour tyres. Weinmann brakes. 5 speed. TDC freewheel. Mudguards, chainguard and rear carrier. Chromed steel rims. This is a nice touring commuting bike, excellent compromise between speed and comfort. On one hand it has big wheels (same size as racing bikes of the era) and drop handlebars, so it can be pretty fast. On the other hand cycling position is relatively upright, being quite comfortable to ride (for a road bike) and comes with many accessories to make your life on the road easier. Mudguards are a must in London, rear carrier allows you to transport your stuff with you and the chainguard protects your clothes from the chain. Tyres are quite wide too so not a harsh ride. Comes serviced with new cables, new chain, tyres pumped up, etc. Ready to go, just cycle away. Please note that whilst in good condition for age, it is a 30 years old bike. It is tatty in places and has some wear and tear related to age. Tyres a bit old, a rip in saddle, etc, but as said above everything works. All reflected in the price (which is NOT negotiable).
