Antique Farmhouse Kitchen Dresser Unusual, unique, antique farmhouse ‘welsh’ type kitchen dresser. Family heirloom, coming from my great-grandparents in Germany. They used it in their kitchen on the farm to hold all the food ingredients. Solid wood, possibly elm. Once polished up it will glow in a warm beautiful lighter colour. The top is separate so the bottom part can be used on its own if you wish to. It has a meat compartment – a fridge type metal box, draws and 6 aluminium type containers for flour, salt, sugar etc. Very unusual and special. I am really, really sad to see it go but unfortunately I have to sell it due to personal circumstances. Original keys are present. Original glass in the doors. This is my very pretty chest of drawers with mirror. It's a beautiful piece but I just don't have the room for it any more. The front of the drawers are a slightly curved bow. The paint is very old and has a splattered patina to it. I can deliver locally in the Brighton area for no charge as I have a big car. I'm not a dealer, just a girl selling her clutter. I have owned this piece for over 20 years, previous to that it lived in an old house in Limington near Yeovil. It is believed to be 18th century. Height 82" Width 40" Depth 12".
