Antique Farmhouse Kitchen Dresser Unusual, unique, antique farmhouse ‘welsh’ type kitchen dresser. Family heirloom, coming from my great-grandparents in Germany. They used it in their kitchen on the farm to hold all the food ingredients. Solid wood, possibly elm. Once polished up it will glow in a warm beautiful lighter colour. The top is separate so the bottom part can be used on its own if you wish to. It has a meat compartment – a fridge type metal box, draws and 6 aluminium type containers for flour, salt, sugar etc. Very unusual and special. I am really, really sad to see it go but unfortunately I have to sell it due to personal circumstances. Original keys are present. Original glass in the doors. This is a Professionally "Upcycled" truly impressive piece of furniture of which the photo’s do not do it justice. Many hours were spent on bringing this lovely piece of furniture back to life.The drawers and doors were removed, sanded, prepared then hand painted in Annie Sloan “Old Ochre” which is a creamy "off White".The main body of the unit has also been sanded and prepared then hand painted in Annie Sloan "Old Ochre". The paintwork was very lightly distressed and given a Polyvine "Wax Varnish" (which gives it the look & feel of wax but with the durability of varnish). The worktop has been taken back to bare wood, sanded, given our own "Antique" stain then 5 coats of varnish for durability. Stunning Refurbished Ercol Oak Welsh Farmhouse Dresser

This is a newly refurbished welsh farmhouse dresser made by the company Ercol,and is made of oak wood. I have sanded the top to remove the old stained varnish and reveal the beautiful patanation of the oak wood then I have sealed with three coats of a clear wax and buffed for a soft subtle sheen. The rest of the dresser I have hand painted in chalk paint in a beautiful shade of light grey,slightly distressed for the vintage charm and character and then sealed to protect with wax. This unit has lovely carved detailing to it and is in very good condition. Inside the sideboard cupboard is shelving so plenty of storage space and inside one of the drawers is the original cutlery tray which I have painted in a lovely contrasting colour, the cutlery tray sits upon the top half of the drawer so you still have storage space underneath. Inside the cupboard and inside the drawers I have left as their natural shade of stained oak. The top does detach from the sideboard base to make transporting easier though you will need a van as it is quite large.
