Obi is looking for a new home He is a 7 year old unregistered Connemara gelding I have owned obi for nearly 4 years, I brought him on slowly, competed at low level dressage, sponsored rides and training sessions. 2 years ago he was diagnosed with juvinelle hock arthritis, he was treated and then I fell pregnant so I turned him away for 18 months. Since returning to work, he has shown no signs of his hock arthritis; and at the time of diagnosis, the vets were confident they would fuse with time. He is now in hacking work, which I am building gradually. He hacks alone and in company, and is excellent with all traffic, except motorbikes that he is a little worried about. He is great to handle on the ground, loves fuss and attention! He is up to date with worming, farrier, jabs, teeth and physio. I am looking to rehome my 14.2 Connemara 7 year old gelding Due to just having a baby he has been out of work for a year and was turned away in a field. Prior to this he was diagnosed with hock arthritis, however we started medicating when I fell pregnant so could not progress with his rehab, so his response to treatment is unknown. Therefore I would not want to sell him to someone who wants to do allot of jumping or X country. I have had him since a 4 year old, during which time he has done a bit of everything. He is great to hack, but due to his age and breed can be cheeky so needs a confident rider. He can also be cheeky on the ground so needs someone confident to handle him. I am not in a hurry to sell him, so home is more important than price and he is only for sale due to me having a baby and just not having enough time to do him justice. He is only being used as a companion, so is being wasted and he is too much for my old horses. He loves being groomed, loves attention, very good to be handled, feet etc. You do something with him twice and then he just seems to accept it. He has been lunged, but just have not had the time for him. He is wormed, feet done once a month and up to date with tetanus injections. He lives in or out, very good in a stable. Good doer. Beautiful Happy Hacker. I'm offering this handsome boy for sale to happy hacking home only. Sadly he is not 100% sound on a circle and despite extensive investigations with a Newmarket Vet practice we have been unable to establish the cause and hence cure. He enjoys hacking and shows no sign of pain in this environment having completed the Burghley long distance ride recently with no ill effects afterwards. He has hunted once with the Easton Harriers and was impeccably behaved despite it being his first time out. He is a lovely hack and my 13 year old daughter hacks him out alone and in company. He is not a ploddy kick a long type he has a nice active walk and is responsive off the aids. He has loads of personality and loves people and life. Good to catch, farrier, clip, loads and travels in lorry or trailer. Safe enough to use as lead rein. We are in a rural area so don't see much traffic, he can be genuinely shy with large lorries and tractors but never difficult at worst will move up on pavement or have a little wobble has never spun, bolted, reared etc but for this reason would not class him as fit for nervous or complete novice. Hi here i have teddi. Hes 4 years old i owned his mum so ive had him since birth. Hes so friendly loves a fuss and lots of attention. Hes been brought up with chidren of all ages so has no issues with babies/childrens. Hes ok with other cats but never been round dogs. Hes been microchipped and neutered. Upto date with worming and flea treatment. This is a very sad sale. My son and daughter love him however were facing having to move house which dosnt allow pets. Were asking £45 for him.
