We lost our 13 year old lab in the summer to cancer. It's still breaking our hearts daily. Advice given is to re home another dog. We have a baby so cannot go to rescue centre's. Also I'm not willing to pay premium price on a mut just because it's been given a fancy doubled up name. Do you live in the Bricknell Ave area and have an older dog

My dog, Mahni, is 2 years old and was rehomed with us at 4 months. When she came to us, I had a much older dog, Cloe, who Mahni doted on. When we lost Cloe in Jan of , Mahni became very vocal around other dogs outside of the house. She is not aggressive, just feels the need to alert me whenever we see other dogs on our walks and despite her being very calm and obedient in the house (and having passed an obedience course at a leading dog training school) she is still the same outdoors. If possible, I would love to find someone who was willing to assist me in exposure training with another, calmer dog to start the process of getting Mahni back to her best. She is a fabulous dog but the barking raises concerns in me that she feels anxious or protective, not to mention that it can be something of a nuisance on walks. We live in the Bricknell Avenue area of Hull and most commonly walk her on the local playing fields. Any assistance would be massively appreciated as I just want the best for her and know it will Take some time and dedication hence me advertising for people in the area who may already be out frequently. Home Wanted for Molly an older cat (13) and deaf

Molly is a loving older cat (13) and completely deaf. Molly didn’t have a good start in life and was a victim of a bad cruelty case where the RSPCA stepped in. Her elderly owner has given her a lot of love over the years she has had her but, sadly she is unable to give her the attention that is needed due to suffering from dementia and ill health. I have been looking after Molly for the past 6 months and she has put on weight and gives me so much love, she is adorable. I wish I could keep her but this is no longer an option for me. I have 3 cats of my own and now that Molly has all paws under the table she won’t let them in to eat, drink or sleep. Molly needs to be the only animal in any household where she would be the perfect pet especially for an older person. Molly is good with children and adults but prefers a quieter life these days. I have contacted over 90 animal charities to get her rehomed without success due to her age and deafness, most have advised to have her put down, this I cannot do without trying everywhere to find that special final home for her. These four little beauties are from 2 separate litters, we've really struggled to find decent homes for these babies. Could you give these two wonderful girls a new home? They are both girls age 8 and 10. They are looking for a quieter home. It's ok if you work because they have each other for company and love to cuddle up and nap. They love to go on nice walks at the weekend, they enjoy 2 short trips out morning and evening. They are older girls so not boisterous or over energetic. They really love people and enjoy lots of cuddles. They love cats and all dogs their size. Not 'massive' fans of all big dogs. It really depends on how the big dog is towards them. They don't like being jumped on or chased and will stand their ground. Neither has ever had a days illness in their lives. They are a little on the heavy side which isnt uncommon with the breed, so treats are now and again. They really are lovely and would make a fantastic addition to any family. Older Dog For Rehoming

We have taken the heartbreaking decision to rehome our dog. I have had him for 7 years, originally a rescue dog he was 6 months when I got him. He has been a lovely companion but unfortunately I have a toddler and one on the way & it is hard keeping my toddler and dog apart. My dog has not grown up as a puppy with my child & although they get on, it is not fair on my dog when my toddler is trying to jump all over him. With another child on the way I am going to have less time. He is used to being walked for an hour everyday. I will not lie, being a rescue dog he has got a few issues, he hates being on his own (has been used to coming most places with me) so he sometimes has to be crated if left for short period. He is good with other small dogs but wary of big dogs, especially Alsatians so will bark at them. Good with all children, just a bit old to be pulled around by younger children. So would suit an experienced dog owner who has a lot of time on their hands to be with him. His loveable qualities far outweigh his bad and he is a truly lovely dog, he would just like to be with somebody all day! If you would like any more information or to meet him, please get in touch.
