Hi, Im looking for a companion pony/horse for my other horses. I have 2 horses but when one goes out the other isn't happy. Be a bonus if a light hack for a ride out every so often but not a must. Companion/potential light hack

15.1hh chestnut mare, though really is not a typical "chestnut mare" I had this mare as a companion to my old mare, and she is currently a companion to my miniature Shetland who is also her companion. I have only ridden this mare on the roads, and no traffic fazes her, not even a local hunt galloping next to her and she plodded down the road on a long rein! I do not have the time for this mare that she deserves. She is currently sound and would probably enjoy being slowly brought back into work, though this mare has previously been in a riding school I wouldn't recommend a novice to take her on for riding. Saying that I use to hack her from a head collar rather than a bitted bridle. On the ground she is a true dope on a rope. She will stand for hours to be groomed, she has excellent stable and field manners. She's easy to keep and is currently bear foot. She is sold as seen from field. Light hack/ companion home wanted

I have a 7 year old thoroughbred gelding, very easy to do once he knows your routine more like a big dog! My circumstances are changing. He's just a happy hack very good in traffic and once he knows the rides he's just a kick along pony. He's currently got a bitless bridle but can have his snaffle back if your more comfortable. Whether you ride him everyday or once every two weeks he's the same. Will come with everything I am also happy to carry on insuring him and help with vet bills Very hard choice to make but I don't want to not have the time for him. He loads into a trailer but hasn't gone anywhere since he we came here 10 months ago. He is the most loving boy you'll ever meet and will become part of the family. He is in Newbury at the moment. Would like him to stay fairly local but for the right person I don't mind him going further. He currently lives out and since iv had him has stables in the winter but will happily live out all year round, he comes with everything. 14.1hh companion or possible light hack!

14.1hh, 10 year old, mare. I got lexi just over 4 weeks ago on lwvtb but unfortunately she’s lame on a circle on the left rein. I can’t afford to keep her as an ornament neither can her owner. Due to this I have no choice but to find her a home as a companion. She might possibly come right in time however I’m not sure. She’s previously done a little bit of everything but somewhere along the line she’s had abit of a set back so she is now a project. When walking her to and from her field I do put a lead rope round her nose as she has bolted once in hand with me however hasn’t done with lead rope and I’d rather carry on how I am then put her at risk of going out on the roads. Loading is a big issue once she’s on she’s perfect but getting her on is hard work and I can only guess she’s had a bad experience. Lexi also does have some scars on one of her back legs but she flew through a 2 stage back in August. Horse for sale as a light hack/ showing or companion horse.

I have a beautiful 8 year old 15.2h Thoroughbread X gelding for sale as a light hacking horse/ show horse or a field companion. He loves people and adores hugs and being pampered. He can live outdoors or will happily stable as he loves to lie down and fall asleep. If used as a companion horse he would be fine being left in a field or stable alone as long as he had something to occupy him e.g. a hay net / grass. He has lived with both mares and gelding and in large mixed herds too. He can be anxious at times around busy yards and worries if things approach him quickly/ noisily from behind. He has just being brought back into work after having had time off due to a right fore lameness issue. Vets advise he is used for light hacking, showing or as a companion horse now. He has definitely got a WoW factor and turns heads wherever he goes. However he is a very sensitive horse and needs a experienced rider / handler that can reassure him when he gets tense and guide him. A very sad sale of a much loved horse but my daughter now requires a larger mount and she is wanting to jump and event now. A loving home paramount for our special boy. Read More
