Araucana Bantam Fertile Eggs - Lavender and White

Bantam Lavender and White Araucanas. They are the original blue egg layers, their eggs are unique as the blue colour permeates throughout the shell. All other breeds which lay blue eggs have had Araucana genes introduced into their breed. They are prolific layers and are usually in lay by weeks of age and will often lay throughout the winter months. Araucana hens are not known for being broody and may therefore be unreliable sitters however having good fertility rates they are very easy to breed. Araucanas are great characters, they are a very friendly breed and generally the cocks are not aggressive. It is important when buying birds to remember that Araucanas are very distinctive birds with triple pea combs, crests, muffs and beards, they do not have wattles, just because a bird lays a blue egg it does not mean that it is a true Araucana. I have for sale 6 Lavender Araucana hatching eggs from my group of unrelated stock. They lay a good size pale blue egg. All my birds are fed top quality Versele Laga feed and are wormed twice a year. Price is £1.50 per eggs, with a minimum of 6 to be purchased. I also have the following breeds available at £1.25 per egg and I am very happy to do mixed boxes: - White Silkies - Mixed colour Silkies (Partridge cockerel running with Partridge, White and Lavender hens) - Blue Pekins - Black mottled Pekins - Mixed colour Pekins (Partridge cockerel running with Chocolate Mottled, Partridge and Black hens) - Buff Plymouth Rock Bantams I also have the following large fowl breeds available at £1.50 per egg: - Barnevelders - Vorwerks - Easter Egger (Araucana cross Marans) will lay a lovely olive green egg Fertility was tested on 28th February across all breeds, with an average of 90% being fertile. The lowest fertility recorded was 80%. All eggs will be a maximum of 3 days old when posted and are sent in special polystyrene boxes. It is very important to allow the eggs to stand, pointed end down, for between hours after they arrive to allow the air sac to settle. I am afraid that I cannot provide any guarantees of fertility due to postage handling and the huge range of different quality incubators available. There are two options with regards postage, either standard second class signed or delivery which is £5.50 or special next day delivery at £7.50. Personally I would opt for next day as this means the eggs are not put through the 'standard' Royal Mail system and are handled separately to the normal post.
