This late Victorian oak fire surround was removed from a late Georgian house during a recent renovation. It features a row of original tiles situated beneath the mantelpiece and detailed hand carving of oak leaves towards both the left and right corners. Large vintage victorian / edwardian fire surround with mirror, cast iron insert & tiles

Large antique fire surround. In very good condition for it's age, with delicate inlay in the wood. A beautiful thing! Has bevelled mirror, hand-painted tile panels & cast iron insert/hood which is clad in thin brass sheet (it's so old that some of the brass is worn through from polishing!). Also has some marble infill strips & the original fender (again, the brass skin is worn through in places). Originally it came from a house in Jesmond and I've never refitted it.
