A very special Persian Kashan, vintage design! Very popular and modern at the moment. Contemporary carpets sold under the Kashan name have a very good reputation. The traditional pattern consists of a central medallion surrounded by floral motifs. The carpets often have saturated red and blue colours.The carpets are made in the city of Kashan and its surroundings. Excellent carpets have been knotted there since the reign of the Safavids (). The carpets are densely knotted (with a Persian knot); warp and weft are made of cotton, the pile is of a high quality. The patterns consist of attractive medallion, niche, tree and figurative motifs, but rows of floral patterns can also be found.
