Little reserve price.Saya in lacquered pearl shell (small repair and varnish on the saya near the Kozuka). Fuchi with copper horse saddle and sakudo. Kashira in buffalo horn. Menuki in very good condition. Fine Kitae kizu on each side of the blade (polishing of blade of 500 years of age). Kozuka in copper. Iron, copper Tsuba and sakudo. Antique Japanese sword in koshirae (wakizashi), Edo period

Click here to view this lot Antique Japanese sword in koshirae (shinogi-zukuri wakizashi). The blade was forged in Edo period, "mumei" (school and maker unknown). The blade has original good polish and shows some fine scratches, "mokume hada suguha hamon", "/komidare", "ubu nakago" (not shortened). Length "nagasa": 45.6 cm, length in koshirae: 73 cm, "motogasane" (sheet thickness at the nakago): 7 mm, "motohaba" (blade width at the nakago): 2.9 cm, "sori" (bend): 1 cm. There is no chip, no crack, no bend in the blade and "cutting edge" is very sharp, guaranteed no "hagire". The saya has a few small cracks in the varnish. A beautiful antique "kodogu" (sword fittings) finish the sword all the way! This wakizashi is complete and in good collectible condition. The sword has a copy of "torokusho" (Japanese registration certificate), original "torokusho" remains in Japan.I’m not responsible for any import taxes or charges, nor am I liable for any delays at customs or at the post office.
