Big Ivy shaped into a triangle. There are several arms climbing around a metal shape that could, with some patience, be disentangled and left to hang if so desired. Looks very pretty as it is though. It's in a big, thick orange pot. The plant is growing fast with several fresh green leaves. Very easy to manage and enjoys low to medium light. It's been re-potted into a spacious pot where it will have space to grow even bigger. Pot measures 22 cm high x 22 cm width and the plant is approx 25 cm high. Since we're moving out of the country soon we're selling a bunch plants, pots, plant stands and shelving units. Please have a look at our other adds if you're interested. NASA has found that it filters formaldehyde in the air very effectively so it is a good and beautiful plant to grow indoor. It grows best in moderate temperature and moderate light. It can be grown on floor or as a hanging plant. Pinch back the tips to grow bushier plants. A single English ivy plant can find many uses all round the garden. It can be used to cover a wall in shade where few other plants thrive, it can be trained to climb up or spread out along a low wall. Being evergreen, it is perfect for covering pergola poles, or creating a leafy backdrop under clematis and climbing roses that provides winter interest. Or use young plants to train around the outsides of winter hanging baskets. English ivy can be trimmed into shape at any time of year. It is a valuable plant for wildlife in winter by providing berries for birds in winter when most others have been eaten. Many insects also feed on the nectar of its white flowers. Be careful when handling it if you have sensitive skin as its sap can be irritating. English ivy plants (Hedera helix) are superb climbers, clinging to almost any surface by means of small roots that grow along the stems. You can plant it in distant and hard-to-reach areas without worrying about maintenance. Indoors, grow English ivy in pots with a stake or other vertical structure for climbing, or in hanging baskets where it can tumble over the edges. Looking for a cut of free ivy or a free ivy plant! Preferably already grown to 3 metres but please still get in touch if you have free ivy that isn't as long. I can come to you and take a cutting if that makes life easier. I'm thinking along the lines of the ivy that grows on the outside of flats and houses that gets cut down. Golden Sedum (Sedum adolphi) is a low-growing succulent plant with pointed dark green leaves. The leaves develop orange or reddish tips when exposed to bright sunlight. Sedum adophi produces white, star-shaped flowers in spring. It can survive a few hours in temperatures as low is 29 degrees Fahrenheit, but is not considered winter hardy except in frost-free locations. Sedum adolphi is most often grown as a houseplant or an attractive outdoor container plant where it can be protected during the winter. A Sedum adophi plant cannot sit in waterlogged soil or the plant will rot.Water the Sedum adolphi when the soil in the container is dry. Ivy can make a wonderful houseplant. It can grow long and lush and bring a bit of the outdoors inside. Growing ivy indoors is easy as long as you know what makes an ivy plant happy. The most important part of indoor ivy plant care is light. All true ivies need bright light. Variegated cultivars can take medium light, but be aware that their variegation will become less pronounced in less light. Without enough light, inside ivy plants will become leggy and sickly looking. When watering your ivy, always check the soil before adding water. Ivies prefer to be kept slightly on the dry side, so let the soil dry out some (dry to the touch on top) before you water your ivy plant again.
