Rue ISH Mare Green but willing. Can be nappy. Basic schooling established on the flat and can pop a decent fence. Will make a very nice mare with further education. Hacks with others, needs a firmer hand out alone but not silly, again just nappy. Sensible mare, has hunted once, very keen and willing, sensible in open spaces too. Has taken everything in her stride so far. Up to date with everything. Passported with the Irish Horse Register. Not a world beater, but will make someone a very nice mare to go out and have fun with. Tack & rugs etc can also be available. Broodmare/Project Horse 16hh ISH Bay Mare

Ballygarrett Bonnie Rose aka Double D. 8 years old, bay mare. 16hh but looks much bigger. Currently in work and hacking out. I'm advertising her as a broodmare or project as she is a big strong mare who has a few issues. I bought her 'off the field' and have had no problem reintroducing her back to ridden work after 2 years off. She can be spooky to handle especially with hind feet with a farrier. She is fully shod but you need a patient farrier. She's good to hack and is fantastic in all traffic. She just does not like other horses (that she doesn't know, I've ridden her out lots in company) coming up too close behind her. I rode her on a recent hunt ride and she was perfect until strange horses came up behind her and she shot off away from them. She will jump but there does appear to be some sort of issue as one day she'll jump then other days she takes off at a fence and runs out. She needs time and patience if she were to be fully ridden again. She would be an ideal riding horse / show horse / dressage for someone who is knowledgable - she is fine in a group lesson or indoor/outdoor ménage with other horses going round. ISH/KWPN warmblood 7yo 16.2 bay mare

I have come to the very difficult decision to sell my super mare. I bought her with the intention of competing BD, which I think she will be very successful at - she is built uphill with lovely paces but is just too big for me. I haven't jumped her as is not my thing but she has Alme, Acrobat II bloodlines so certainly bred for it and know she has with previous owner. She is great in traffic, I have to cross a busy A road and regularly ride/lead across it and she is foot perfect. She is great with farm machinery, tractors, dogs, children and has very good stable manners, I have never had to clip other than trim - she is very good, no lumps, bumps. 6yo ISH Mare

?? Rue is a 17hh 6yo ISH mare. By Emperor Augustus out of Kilrush Suzie (King of Diamonds). Was broken professionally then hacked and turned away for a year. Brought back into work April and worked since, but recently had time off over winter due to lack of facilities and wet ground. Not for a novice rider, not dangerous, just young and green. She needs further schooling and fitness. Has bucked on the odd occasion, however I wouldn't even class as a 'buck', back legs barely leave the ground, just argumentative behaviour on stroppy days, although she is a mare and I find this behaviour has occurred when she is in season. Slightly behind the leg, needs a push although confident in all 3 paces. Rue has steady transitions, though she needs a quiet calm rider. Recently had back, pelvis and teeth all done. Took her over her first jumps last summer, keen jumper, I would like her to turn a hoof to all disciplines. Good to hack with others, needs a firm hand out alone, not keen on tractors, but asks rider for reassurance, rather than the flight and flee type, so it is important that rider is confident, quiet and kind! Overall Rue is a very nice little mare with a sweet personality, she is very special to me. A lot of potential to do more with more consistent work, both ridden and on the ground, this is a squeeze with me being at college.
