?? Rue is a 17hh 6yo ISH mare. By Emperor Augustus out of Kilrush Suzie (King of Diamonds). Was broken professionally then hacked and turned away for a year. Brought back into work April and worked since, but recently had time off over winter due to lack of facilities and wet ground. Not for a novice rider, not dangerous, just young and green. She needs further schooling and fitness. Has bucked on the odd occasion, however I wouldn't even class as a 'buck', back legs barely leave the ground, just argumentative behaviour on stroppy days, although she is a mare and I find this behaviour has occurred when she is in season. Slightly behind the leg, needs a push although confident in all 3 paces. Rue has steady transitions, though she needs a quiet calm rider. Recently had back, pelvis and teeth all done. Took her over her first jumps last summer, keen jumper, I would like her to turn a hoof to all disciplines. Good to hack with others, needs a firm hand out alone, not keen on tractors, but asks rider for reassurance, rather than the flight and flee type, so it is important that rider is confident, quiet and kind! Overall Rue is a very nice little mare with a sweet personality, she is very special to me. A lot of potential to do more with more consistent work, both ridden and on the ground, this is a squeeze with me being at college. Lovely 17.1 ISH Mare

QUALITY BAY 17.1hh registered Irish Sports horse, turned 9 yrs old in June. A lovely gentle calm mare who’s grand sire is Clover Hill. She is very comfortable to ride, hacks out like a dream with others, fine with cars, lorries, dogs, tractors etc. not strong or silly, has looked after novices and is ridden regularly by a 13yr old. Hacks alone, occasionally stops and looks but that’s all and always remains sane and safe. With a previous owner she has competed at local shows & competitions with all levels of riders and taken part in sponsored rides. We are told she has hunted in both Ireland & England, and we genuinely believe she would be great for this, but we cannot say she is a proven hunter as she has not done this with us as it’s just not our thing. She has lovely movement, enjoys jumping and is nice and forward to the jump, but does get bored if all you do is flatwork where she gets heavy on the leg, so we wouldn’t sell her as suitable for pure dressage because of this, however, when you mix it up with variety, flatwork, poles, jumps etc. she does ride nicely in the school. Where she’s at her best is out in the open, she’s light off the leg, got multiple gears and can be stopped on a sixpence. She would be an excellent confidence giving, safe and sensible horse for someone who loves jumping and hacking as she doesn’t hot up, rear or buck, even when around fizzy youngsters. She is sound and healthy, lives in or out (but does love her stable!), calls and comes when she sees you and has no vices. We bought her for our first horse as competent novices and couldn’t believe our luck as she has been exactly what we needed, however, since moving we now only have a small school and no longer hack out much due to lack of bridleways and grumpy farmers so we’ve had to come to terms that, for her enjoyment, we should try see if we can find her a lovely forever home and rider who can offer her what we can’t and enjoy her talents. Excellent to shoe / catch / Bath / Load / travel / tack / skip out around and clip. Vacs & Teeth all up to date, Good feet, shod on the front. Open to all vetting and available to view. 15.2 Rose Dapple Grey Mare. 3.5/4 year old (come January). Registered (full green book) ISH. Ard grandpa & clover hill lines to name a couple. Will make a lovely small show hunter, dressage or all round fun horse. I bought this girl direct from Ireland from her breeder completely wild (herded on&off the wagon) and untouched 13 weeks ago. In that time i have fell in love. This little horse is so willing and clever. She has never so much as had a hoof leave the ground in the whole breaking process. Not phased by anything. Clip, load, travel, catch, trim (barefoot) Every one of these things were a first time for her and she didn’t bat an eyelid. Fine with any traffic whatsoever, hacks alone and in company and has popped logs out hacking. Light off the leg, light in the mouth. Just started abit of school work and she is a complete natural, carries herself with ease and has never had any intervention at all. She is not at all hot headed so I have no doubt she will take to any discipline at all, hunting, showing, all round fun horse I have had various friends ride her and she has been foot perfect which is why i feel she is ready to now sell - reluctantly! She is unspoilt a complete blank canvas in the respect she has had no bad experiences, ready for someone to put their stamp on.
