An ideal course for those wanting to gain a better understanding of Mindfulness whilst starting their own daily practice. Each week a different aspect of mindfulness is explored, covering the fundamental practices of Mindfulness, formal and informal practices to used in daily life. The group consists of discussion and periods of meditation. The course provides an opportunity to build on skills from experiential learning during sessions and practice at home. The course is co-run between Julie Wilson and Andrea Osborne, both who have their own regular mindfulness practice and both hold Level 4 (foundation degree level) Certificate in Teaching Mindfulness and Compassion. With the advantage of many many sunny days (around 300 per year), we have around bee hives, depending on the time of year, with at least 20 hives used for queen rearing, bees flying most days in a year, in our relaxed friendly professional atmosphere we can cover; -Introduction to beekeeping, clothing, hive choices, making your own hives. -Bee products, Honey, Pollen, Propolis, Wax and Royal Jelly. -Hive inspections, problem solving, dealing with queen less colonies, forage, hive locations, bee requirements, moving hives. -Colony management, hive increase, swarm control, feeding. -Disease identification and control, from varroa to foul brood and preditors (Asian Hornet) -Queens, marking, clipping, rearing, queen mating and grafting.
