I have replaced the Ceramic bar magnets from my Humbucker pickups to Alnico 4 in Neck and Alnico 2 in Bridge pickup. I found the ceramic magnets gave to bright and harsh response. The pickups were Wilkinson from a chinese Gib 335 copy.Actually made at the factory that produces Epiphone guitars under licence. Warmer vintage tones. This is the AC30 HWH and the ACHWX The current handwird Vox AC30 is meant to as close as to the original early 60’s circuit design and sound as anything they’ve produced of recent decades. It’s pure tone and is a beautiful setup all round. The handwired circuitry is a turret board design with point to point connections. It’s a thing of beauty. No sign of any PCBs here as you can see from the photos. I’ve used this with a 1x12 Celestion Greenback cab too and both sound amazing (especially together..). I’m selling reluctantly, but want something a little smaller and hoping I don’t regret it!:) I’ve had this since new from . New the head alone is £ and blue alnico 2x12 cab £799. Vintage 12" Jensen AlNiCo speaker ('s) 8ohm

I have for sale a magnificent and vintage Jensen Concert Speaker P12R (DP-AlNiCo 5) for guitar. This speaker was my dad's when he was a teenager. It is a Jensen P12R from the early 60's. The speaker was serviced by Weber VST in the USA around when I was living there. The cone is new and the magnets have been serviced and revitalised, so the speaker is working like new! It is a 8 ohm speaker with about 15 Watts of power and a very sweet sound, with plenty of mids and beautiful highs that cut through the mix like butter.
