Serial # . In very good condition for its age. Some lacquer cracks, a few dings, dents and scratches. Straight neck with good frets and fingerboard. The electrics are all working just as they should, with no crackling or buzzing, remarkable! The strap buttons have been replaced with Schaller locking versions, the bridge has been replaced with a period, gold plated ‘damper’ version. Hofner Golden Thinline #21

Very rare Hofner Golden Thinline #21 in great condition for its age. This is a beautiful example of Hofners top of the range guitar built by craftsmen in Germany in and it is one of only 7 that remain listed on the Vintage Hofner website from the 25 or so that were ever produced. It is very similar to the Committee range however it has an 18inch lower bout which gives an amazing sound and all Gold plated fittings. It has a Maple body with the fingerboard made from Grenadilla Ebony on an 11 piece laminated neck. It has two Super 511 gold plated pick ups and a Gold plated tailpiece. The scratch plate is non original as is the new sturdy hard case which was purchased to better protect the guitar. I still have the original Selmer case which can be sent separately if required. Last year the guitar suffered a cracked neck as can be seen in the picture attached however it was repaired, cleaned and set up by Master Luthier James T Payze and sounds as good as it ever did. I am happy to ask any questions you may have about this very rare and beautiful guitar and I will be sorry to see it leave my collection. Ad ID: Delivery Service Consumer Credit

Rare, Vintage, Hofner Committee

Hofner Committee Brunette archtop acoustic, (Serial Number: ) complete with extremely rare Framus period-correct aftermarket pickup set: I have owned this guitar since and it came with the pickups fitted. (These are a rare and valuable collectors item in their own right!) As far as I know they were purchased along with the guitar. It is in very good vintage player condition but is definitely not a pristine “case queen”. Please note, however, that the neck has never required a reset and the heel has not cracked as often happens with vintage Hofners. The guitar comes with its original, very beaten-up case and a replacement enclosed Van Ghent tuner which I have never got around to fitting. I’m slowly downsizing my collection and have come to realise that, despite my sentimental attachment to this lovely instrument, I seldom play it and so would be better moving it on to a new owner who would hopefully appreciate it as much as I have.
